This is a picture index of all the actual tulips that are currently growing in my garden. None of these pictures have been color enhanced.

Abba Double tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2007. Full sun (added more 2008) Habit: Consistent bloomer.

Aladdin Lily tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 2003. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Some edging is white and some is yellow when they first bloom; yellow turns white as petals age.

Allegretto Double tulip. Late. Medium. Planted: 2008. Full sun. Habit: Lost some after first year, rest are doing great. Large blooms. 2011: they multiplied.

Angelique [DECEASED 2010] Peony tulip. Late. Medium to tall. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Bloomed well first year, declined rapidly and did not bloom again(berm?).

Apricot Beauty Triumph tulip. Early. Medium. Planted: 2000. Part shade. Habit: Bloomed large first year. Got smaller next couple of years. Has bloomed as shown for about 7 years.

Arabian Mystery Triumph tulip. Mid-season. Tall. Planted: 2000. Part shade. Habit: Lost all but one in the first couple of years, but that one bloomed every year until 2011. 2011: no blooms

Bastogne Parrot Triumph parrot tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 2008. Mostly sun. Habit: Is multiplying. 2011: Only half bloomed.

Black Parrot Parrot tulip. Late. Medium. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Has multiplied.

Bleu Amiable Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Survived the berm! Consistent bloomer. Has purple-grey stems.

Blue Gem (Tulipa humilis "alba coerulea oculata") Species tulip. Early. Short. Planted: 2008. Full sun Habit: Touchy. Lost all but one to moving, 2010.

Blue Heron Fringed tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Starts out muddy-ugly, but changes to a beautiful lilac as the petals age. Has purple-grey stems.

Blue Parrot Parrot tulip. Late. Medium to tall. Planted: 2004. Mostly shade Habit: Grew and bloomed in the shade for four years. Transplanted some to sunnier location due to declination. 2011: Got three blooms.

Blushing Apeldoorn Darwin tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 2000. Mostly sun. Habit: Bloomed great for five years. Suddenly all but a couple disappeared (voles?). Blushes darker as the petals age.

Bright Parrot Parrot tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2006. Full sun. (added more 2007) Habit: Consistent bloomer. Consistently large blooms.

Burgundy Lace Fringed tulip Late. Planted: 2009. Mostly sun. Habit: Did not bloom the first year. 2011: did not bloom, only leaves.

Calypso Greigii tulip. Early. Short. Planted: 2003. Full sun. Habit: Barely bloomed for years. In 2010 they were magnificent (as shown). Fairly long lasting blooms. Likes rock gardens. 2011: magnificent!

China Town Viridiflora parrot tulip. Late. Short. Planted: 2008. Mostly sun. Habit: Muddy looking when first opened; color improves as petals age.

Claudia Lily tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomers. Are multiplying. 2011: only two bloomed, but there still are lots of leaves.

Cummins Fringed tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2010. Full sun. Habit: Like Blue Heron but not muddy and much more fringed.

Mixed Darwin Darwin tulips. Mid-season. Tall. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomers. Multiplied, then declined as a peony grew bigger. There is still a large patch of them.

Dillenburg Single late tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2004. Mostly sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Down to two bulbs but they are strong. 2011: 4 blooms!

Elegant Lady Lily tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 2008. Full sun. Habit: The flower isn't as impressive as I had hoped. They have bloomed every year.

Estella Rijnveld Parrot tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Bloomed great for two years, then lost all but one (hail storm). Then it quite blooming for seven years. Then it bloomed again (as shown). 2011: 4 blooms!!

Exotic Emperor Emperor viridiflora double tulip. Mid-season. Short. Planted: 2008. Part shade. Habit: Not very hardy. I am moving these to try in a different location. 2011: I forgot to move them, but this year they did great!

Flaming Parrot Parrot tulip Late. Tall. Planted: 2007. Full sun and part sun (blooms earlier and better in part sun). Habit: Start out yellow and red; yellow turns to white as petals age.

Fringed Elegance Fringed tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 2009. Full sun. habit: Can be floppy. Some red tinging on some of the flowers. 2011: Much more sturdy this year.

Gavota Triumph tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 2001, Full sun. (added more 2004) Habit: Consistent bloomer. Multiplies. Some edging is white from the start; some is yellow at first and turns white as the petals age.

Golden Apeldoorn Darwin tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 2000. Mostly sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer.

Greenland Viridiflora tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 1999. Part sun and full sun (prefers full sun). Habit: Strong tulip. It was declining due to a growing burning bush. Survived a move well and bloomed very well two years after the move. Start out mostly green, gaining pink as the petals age.

Heart's Delight Kaufmanniana tulip. Early. Short. Planted: 2000. Mostly sun, part sun, and shade. (does same in all - blooms later in shade). Habit: Consistent bloomer. Does well in shady spots.

Lilac Wonder Species tulip. Short. Planted: 2009

Maureen Single late tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Start out very pale yellow, turn white as petals age.

Maytime Lily tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Does not like to be crowded. Multiplied, but now declining due to encroaching centurea. Moved centurea in 2010, will see if that helps.

Obalisque Species tulip. Early. Short. Planted: 2010. Full sun. Habit:

Orange Emperor Emperor tulip. Early. Tall. Planted: 2000. Full sun. Habit: Bloomed well first year. Bloom size declined after that to 2/3 the size and has bloomed consistently as such since.

Orange Toronto Greigii tulip. Early. Medium. Planted: 2008. Full sun. Habit: Strong, consistent bloomer.

Paradise Island [DECEASED 2010] Peony tulip. Medium. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Bloomed well first year, declined rapidly. 2011: Resurrected! One bloomed.

Passionale Triumph tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 2006. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer.

Prinses Irene (also Princess Irene) Triumph tulip. Mid-season. Short to medium. Planted: 2000. Mostly sun and full sun. (does well in some shade. Added more 2009) Habit: Consistent bloomer. Multiplied.

Private Eyes Triumph tulip. Early. Medium.. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer.

Purissima (also White Emperor) Emperor tulip. Early. Tall. Planted: 2007. Full sun to part sun. (does well in all). Habit: Consistent bloomer. Somewhat long lasting. Multiplied.

Queen of the Night Single late tulip. Late. Tall. planted: 2007. Full sun. (added more 2008) Habit: Multiple-sized, multiple height flowers.

Red Emperor Emperor tulip. Mid-season. Tall. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Multiplied.

Red Riding Hood Greigii tulip. Mid-season. Medium to tall. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Fairly consistent bloomer.

Rem's Favorite Single late tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 2010. Full sun. Habit: Seems to already be multiplying. Multiple heights. Beautiful from start to finish. Strong stems (held up against a couple of wind storms that broke off tulips near them)

Shirley Single late tulip. Mid-season to late. Tall. Planted: 1999. Mostly sun. Habit: Had trouble one year, but they shook it off. Consistent bloomer. Purple edging gets wider as the petals age.

Sunrise Peony tulips Early to mid-season. Tall. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Long lasting - usually one of the first and last to bloom. Multiplied. Stems are long and flower heavy, so these can flop a little - the stem is usually strong enough.

Sweetheart Emperor parrot tulip. Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Declined rapidly after first year. Remaining bulbs are strong.

Tarda Species tulip. Mid-season. Short. Planted: 2009

Texas Flame Parrot tulips Late. Tall. Planted: 1999. Full sun. Habit: Inconsistent bloomer. Multiplied. Starts out yellow and red; as the petals age the red bleeds into the yellow more and more creating an orange sunset affect.

Tubergen's Gem (clusiana var. chrysantha) Species tulip. Mid-season. Short. Planted: 2007. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer. Tall stems. 2011: Finally multiplied.

Upstar (pink in front) Double tulip Mid-season. Medium. Planted: 2008. Full sun. Habit: Consistent bloomer.

White Parrot Viridiflora parrot tulip. Mid-season. Short. Planted: 2008. Mostly sun. Habit: Declining due to crowding of perennials. 2011: No blooms but there are still leaves.

World Expression Single late tulip. Late. Tall. Planted: 2008. Full sun. Habit: Starts out light yellow and red. Turns white and red as the petals age.
